I felt like my heart was ripping out of my chest. When did jump roping become so difficult? It seemed like I could jump rope forever as a young man. Now I was struggling. Father of 3 and ready to scream.
But alas there was the coach standing by my side telling me to push through it.
What is it about people’s ability to say things that infuse you with energy and create the faith in an individual to execute?
When I heard the encouragement, I pushed myself, looked silly but completed the task. There was some reserved strength.
